Welcome Lane!

Guess who this big happy smile was for?Lane!
A new pink pacifier...
Reading the paper together
I mean, eating the paper
Looking so innocent
Sound asleep
Our little orphan...
Scott wouldn't let me put a pink headband on her with her burnt orange Longhorns t-shirt. (I wanted to make sure everyone knew she was a girl, he said...."She looks like a little orphan when her clothes don't match.")
Playing peek-a-boo
Just do that 360 more times and maybe she'll get tired of it...
So much fun!
Peek!
For some reason she looked so sweet when she was sleeping this week.
Or maybe just because she's been fussing more before falling asleep again. We suspect another tooth!
Got some new clothes. Bright blue to match her eyes.
Looking like a big kid in the new clothes.

The lost pacifier

Scott and Bambi looking for the lost pacifier. She has two pacifiers that she likes - pink and purple. Purple = hopelessly lost in eleven acres of mesquite-filled Texas wilderness, pink = lost somewhere while playing inside yesterday. So they were looking for the pink one.
Jumping right in to our biggest news lately - our neighbor recently had to be on a baby food diet for a little while, anyway, she had leftover baby food, so she dropped it off a while ago, so anyway, we were bored this afternoon, and the baby food was there...this was what she looked like when it was over.

Fun and tasty!
And she's starting to sit up by herself!

Our other news...closed on the land last Friday. Soon we will have an address on Glass Lane!
Looking like a big kid!

This all happened before the pink pacifier was lost.

So we met with the electric guy on the land today. I brought Summer home early because it was hot and sunny out, and she was looking a little rosy.
Scott came home right as another giant rainstorm started. He was holding the purple pacifier.

I didn't think we'd ever see that one again. Pink is still lost.
Maybe Lane will help us find it...tomorrow!!

Seven Months of Summer

Maybe I have two teeth hiding behind my pacifier.....
Maybe so, but I'm hiding them...
Yep, not a chance you can see my teeth...
Oh, almost caught them, but hiding behind the pacifier again!
Yeah, yeah, read me a book!
I'll just sit here and smack it!
Loves licking the washcloth.
Or just plain eating it.
Yum!
Baby, if you're happy leaning back in your carseat, it's fine with me.
Return of the flower headband. (Strangers have been asking about my little boy again, so I have to overpink everything.)
Not sure about this headband.
Oh, maybe it's okay.
Concentrating very hard.
Getting bored of that.
Where'd it go?
Say, I can eat this thing!
Life is good again.

Penelope has been spending some time outside lately (her choice). It's weird to see her out the window. Then eventually there's a meow at the door, and we let her back in. Summer is beginning to get excited when she sees her. Surprisingly, Penelope allows her to pet her (grab handfuls of her fur).
Hard at work.
Still having some sad days because her second tooth is coming in.
But she is happy to bite anyone who will put their finger in her mouth.

Sigh...

Practicing some new expressions. This one's a sad one.
Surprised!

Will someone please get me out of here?
Never mind, I just found a polar bear to eat.
Last Saturday we went to San Antonio to a parade of homes to get some ideas.
Maybe.....a little out of our league.
Scott (the cabinet snob) closely scrutinized the kitchens.
He even fixed a drawer in one of them.
I got a little distracted by the pools.
They were pretty nice.

Tuckered out after all those pools, I mean, houses.
