Tired of catching up

Tired of catching up.  Thought I'd just post some pictures from the last few weeks/months.  Every time I open the blog I am reminded how pathetic I am.  I can't believe it's been another month.  Anyway, don't have a lot of good stories.  Here, in the photo above, we have Summer, looking innocent, and asleep.  In the middle of the hallway.  I thought she looked cute.
We went to the Homecoming parade and the rodeo in the evening.  Found out that this summer "homecoming" event started way back when the soldiers were coming back from World War II, which is where it got it's little name from.  They have football homecoming in the fall, but this event is the town's summer festival and rodeo, of course, because every good Texas town has a rodeo.  (Someone asked me after the rodeo, "who won?  the animals or the cowboys?", that time around, I think the animals won, especially the bulls, there were not many cowboys who got an 8-second ride, which is kinda boring, and there were no bucking broncs that jumped over the gate this time - like last year, so that was kinda boring too.)
Lexi is walking these days.  She's very small.  Ant sized.  So she looks funny walking.  And people always say things like "So young to be walking" but really she is not as young as she looks.  She was such a good baby, I used to tell her all the time "Oh Lexi, we don't want you to ever grow up."  I think she took me seriously.
Summer's biggest accomplishment is that she no longer has a pac.  She's talking a lot now, which is always interesting.  She calls Lexi "my best friend sister".  (Very sweet.  I think she picked this up because whenever she's beating up on her, I always say "Summer, stop, she's you're best friend.")
Lexi's favorite toy seems to be this rocking chair.  I trimmed her bangs the other day.  They were cute hanging down in her eyes, but I finally trimmed them.  I should take a picture of her now because it really does make her look different, but it might just be because of my very unprofessional straight hack across her forehead - kind of unnatural and Amish looking or something.
Since every baby has to do this at some point - she did a pretty good job on that roll.
And here's Summer in all her glory.  Excuse me, no one takes pictures without me in it.  Guess I'll just stand right in front of Lexi.  (This was of course before she got rid of the pac.)  As we were looking at these pictures together, she pointed with great joy - "hab a pac!"  Anyway, I shall run along for tonight.  Have a wonderful week!  Hopefully I'll post again soon.  Maybe I'll make up a dramatic story about something.
