Mother's Day (It's like getting an extra birthday)

I love this baby.
And this one.  (Lexi: wearing Summer's new boots.  And a shirt on backwards.....this is more clothes than she usually wears.)
I was trying to think if I have any stories to tell, and I can think of one obvious one....the mouse in the garage that was in the last pictures.  We had several encounters.  Actually thought maybe that mouse was unwell because he would stick his head out whenever we came in the garage, and he never moved very fast.  Then one day Summer came running "the mouse is sleeping".  I went to go look.  Definitely dead.  In the garbage can (how convenient).  Temporarily forgot that Summer is a tomboy and told her the mouse was dead.  "Are we going to get a new one since that mouse died?"
I think I said no at the time, but later thought we will probably always have mice around, or something.
Confirmed: tonight I went out to the garage to get something, found another mouse!  (Or something small and skittish.  This one moves faster than the last one.)
This little frog was on the patio door in our room one night.  I would have opened the door to get a better picture of him, but the door swings in, and in case he decided to jump off....I really didn't want him in our room.  Interesting though.  He has some serious feet.
Sweet baby.  Likes taking baths.  Hates his car seat (the girls both loved the car seat).
He's also the first of our babies to have that crusty eyes thing....it was kinda gross.  (And everyone told me different thing to do to fix it, so it kinda stressed me out because I didn't know what to do.)  One random day I realized it was gone.  His little eyes were clean.  (Very thankful....had heard that can last 6 months or even a year.)  My other thoughts on babies....
The greatest thing babies do (this one's a tie): sleep!! or else their startle reflex (so funny)
The sweetest thing babies do: touch your face with their little hands
Jesse is a solid little thang...at two months, he was a little over 13 lbs.  It's almost time for his three month birthday.

Scott has been trying to turn the girls into tomboys I guess.  Summer loves picking up these caterpillars.  It was all fine and good until it climbed up to her shoulder, and she wanted it off, and I didn't want to touch it.  (In the end, I picked him off with her toy tweezers.  Then Lexi smashed him on the kitchen floor.  Yes, that caused a major meltdown.)
I hate to even bring it up, but Summer was stung by a scorpion (again) on her foot.  Soaking her foot in water here.  (Lexi is wearing her most worn summer outfit...nothing.)

Commando neighbor expanding his empire.  Not sure what he was building this time, but that was a pretty serious crane.  And pretty interesting to watch it for a while.
Too bad I'm desperately tired right now.  This picture has so much potential for sarcasm or some kind of funny thing to say about it.  Feel sorry for me, I was trying to sew something, and this is the sight I saw.  These two, attacking the sewing machine, the fabric, anything they could find.
This was as soon as I was done with one piece....told them they could take out the pins.  (If only this picture could show the enthusiasm they had.)
This is a true story.  Told a sweet lady at church that I always thought it would be fun to have a little boy who looks like me so I could see what I would look like if I was a boy.  She told me that for years she prayed for a little boy that looked like her husband because she missed him when he was at work during the day.
I thought that was really sweet.  (Of course I had a complex that maybe I'm a little self-absorbed.  Of course I want a kid that looks like Scott too.)
Actually think baby Jesse might look a little like me.  :)
Think I'll just upload the rest of these pictures.  Can't think of any funny stories tonight.

(This might be my favorite picture of him so far.)
