Christmas pictures (trying to get some....)

Sneak preview of this year's photo. Wonder who she gets the "closed eyes for cameras" from?
Eating a dinner roll.
This picture doesn't show a fraction of the mess it made.
(We're thankful for vaccuums.)
Just another day playing with all my favorite toys.
And papa's hat.
Whoa....this is kinda big on me. I can't see!
My eyes are still blue after almost ten months.

Having a snack.
Hat I knitted for Scott, I mean, myself. (He didn't like the color. I liked the warmth on a cold day lately.)
And a little hat for Summer.
One of my new favorite photos.
Or maybe this one is my favorite.

Just hanging out in my carseat.
More of the same.
Okay, this is the beginning of me trying to get a Christmas picture to email to Mom.
Not looking at the camera here.
Making a weird face.
Oh, hi Mom, here I come to grab the camera.
What is that bright light?

Give me that thing! (as she dives for the camera)
Starting over on the couch. (Different outfit too!) Okay, attempt 1, weird face again.
A little too excited for the picture.
Here I come to get that camera again.
I'm not afraid of the edge of the couch.
One thing on my mind. Must grab camera.
So then I gave up for a while on Christmas pictures. There are more attempts on my camera from today that I haven't uploaded yet. I'm about to punt and have Mom use a boring picture. Anyway, Dennis was Summer's fascination on Sunday. From the time we first got to church, she reached for him when she saw him, so he held her for a while. This was after church. Maybe you can see her death grip on his shirt and very determined expression "No way am I letting go. Not going in my carseat. Not going home!" So she's still over at Rassi's now and it's Wednesday. (Not quite.)
Here's a floor that Scott just did for someone. I actually put this picture here as a buffer because the last two pictures are evil.
Here's an evil scorpion who I killed one night. In our bedroom. Okay, that part is a joke. He was on the side of the house. I was sitting on the front porch and thought I saw a curly tail. Got the flashlight and got close. Yep, a scorpion. I keeled him!
Two reasons scorpions aren't as scary as they could be:
1. They aren't nearly as big as they might look. This guy was only an inch long or so. I was zoomed in.
2. They move slowly, not like spiders or mice who scurry around. These guys are lethargic.
They are very evil looking though. And I would hate to find one inside.
Here's the evil snake that I ran over and saved the lives of countless Texans. Scott was highly unimpressed by this story because he kept saying that this snake was tiny. ("He could keeeeel you, Scott!") It's a coral snake. Read up on them sometime. Most potent venom in the United States. 3-5 mg can kill an adult. Very, very bad. I thought I deserved a gold star for killing him and making the world a safer place. Instead, the authorities pulled me over with flashing lights.
"Why are you stopped in the middle of the road, mam?"
"I was taking a picture of this snake. See, it's a coral snake...."
(He was already walking away. "Try to keep moving...")

I think that first picture will work just fine for me!!! I'm just amazed to see Summer smiling with her eyes shut. She was trying!!

Now the snake....what a picture!! I'm amazed that the policeman wasn't as impressed as you were. I'm glad that the snake is dead. Hope they're all gone by February!! Just keep moving!!

That's an adorable picture of Summer with Dennis! I'm sure that was hard on him!! I'll be waiting to hear his comment!

Amyable,
Would you prefer the more correct version of mam as "ma'am" or how about "ma''m"? (I mean, two a's in a row looks ridiculous.)

Ha ha ha, spell check tried to help me out and turned my two apostrophies in a row into quotes. Guess I don't need to worry if I spelled apostrophies right, spell check will change it for me.

Can't wait to see you again. Summer is growing up so fast. Really appreciate the adorable pictures (and the ones that aren't so adorable!)

Don't remember ever meeting Dennis, so glad to see what he looks like.

Keep up the great work!
