House pictures, Wildfire, Summer hates food

Not always this tame when getting a diapah change.
So it rained one night. (Very briefly.) But it was a wild storm and there was some hail.

I was trying to get pictures of the hail.

So......Lane removed some of the mesquite in the front on the right. (I posted a picture of this same area last time, and you can really tell a difference.)

These pictures are outdated already.

The floor deck.

Ah, sleeping baby.Floor = done.

The two big holes are for patio doors. The window in the middle is the kitchen window.

More of the same.

I haven't taken pictures lately, but by now, the downstairs is all framed, interior walls and all, and they are starting the floor deck for the upstairs.
I should take fourteen pictures of this crazy thing. (It's a so-called meter rack.) It was, so far, one of the biggest hassles and frustrations to get done, but now we have permanent power on our site and we can run all of the tools off of this instead of generators.

In other news, there was a fire down the street from us the other day. These pictures were taken after the firemen tamed it down. It was kinda alarming for a little while. We are in the worst drought in Texas history (since they started keeping track of such things in the 1800's), so it wasn't good to see flames eating all the way up the pine trees.

But a lot of people came to put it out. They got it out fast. Never heard how it started. It was on the top of a hill on an empty lot.

The other morning, I was trying to feed Summer, she was bending over backwards trying to avoid food, and I thought I should share how annoying this all is, so I picked up the camera, and this is what she did at first. (Yum, now is a good time to start eating since Mom is completely annoyed.)

It didn't last long though.

Give me that camera.

And.....back to the real world. Summer wildly swinging her arm, trying to get the food away.
