Little Lexi and everything else

Sweet little thing.
Life is not easy for her - getting attacked by the big sister.

Summer may have rocked her brains loose in the five seconds I walked away from this situation.

I have decided that she looks like Scott.

She was really posing nicely for me on the changing table.

Eyes open and all.

Oh, there's the baby tongue. Maybe she's sticking it out at Summer.

At least Summer seems to like her.

So happy to have a little sister.

Although feeling a little jealous too, and missing all of the attention she used to get.

Tiny little girl.

Hallelujah, that gross umbilical cord stump fell off this afternoon.

These pictures are a little older. (Before Lex arrived.)

This is so typical of Summer, climbing on everything.

For some reason, this picture is just hilarious to me.

Oh dear, I just deleted a picture. It was a house picture. Oh well, I seem to have plenty of them.

The house has made tremendous progress in the last few weeks.

We had some big drama two weeks ago.

Haven't had rain for months (I may have mentioned that a time or two), so anyway, the roof wasn't entirely done, but we got all the electric wiring done. Thought that was fine, don't need to worry about rain. And then, on a Thursday afternoon, a tropical storm arrived in the Gulf, which means we usually get rain a day or two later.

So anyway, there was much anxiety and some long days and late nights.

And the roof got done and the windows installed by that Saturday afternoon (when the big rains were supposed to arrive).

The rain never did happen.

But I was glad to get the roof & windows done.

The beginning of the back deck. (Finished now, with a roof too!)

Actually, all of the framing is done now!

(Front porch roof done.)

Tomorrow, the house is going to turn pink.

(Styrofoam house wrap...something like that.)

Love the pictures, but will love seeing in person better. So glad that big sister likes her little sister. So sweet. Lexi is probably already really changing. And you house looks good. Keep the pictures coming:)

Love, Grandma
